About Andrew Mackin: Precision, Passion, and the Art of the Image

The Story Behind the Lens

My journey began at the Institute of Photography in Dublin, but my real education happened in the field. From the moment my work was featured in the national exhibition at the Mansion House, I knew my career would be defined by the "decisive moment"?whether that was a high-stakes PR launch, a major sporting event, or an intimate portrait.

In 2007, I established Andrew Mackin Photography Studios in Newry. Since then, it has evolved into a dedicated family partnership. My wife, Linda, is my full-time editor-in-chief and creative partner, ensuring that every image we deliver meets the highest standards of post-production excellence.

Where Art Meets Industry

While my roots are in portraiture and weddings, my focus has expanded into the Commercial and Industrial sectors. I specialize in helping businesses across Ireland?from Newry and Dundalk to Belfast and Dublin?tell their story through professional imagery.

I don't just take photos; I document processes, showcase architecture, and help brands build a visual identity that commands attention.

Our Expertise

We provide a sophisticated suite of services tailored for commercial, corporate, and private clients:

  • Commercial & PR: High-impact imagery for branding and marketing.

  • Industrial & Construction: Documenting manufacturing processes and site progress.

  • Property & Aerial: Showcasing architecture and landscapes from unique perspectives.

  • Landscape & Fine Art: Capturing the raw beauty of the Irish landscape for prints and commissions.

  • Professional Portraits: Executive headshots and family legacy portraits.

The Approach

My style is intentionally relaxed. Whether I?m on a busy construction site or in the studio, my goal is to make the process enjoyable and seamless. I believe that the best photographs happen when people feel at ease?that is when the authentic character of a person, or the true scale of a project, truly shines.

"My favourite photograph is the one I will take tomorrow."
